Almost ready

We spent a little longer than anticipated  getting the boat hauled and painted at Ross's .   As with anything boating related a lot depends on the weather and we had a few days of rain which caused delays.   The good news is the boat is all painted and back in the water.   While ti was out we had an opportunity to give the running gear a real good cleaning and also got the hull waxed.  Martha was a trooper putting up with the dust, sweat and no see-ums as I put wax on and she buffed it off.
Running gear all sanded down and ready for new primer and paint.

All painted and headed  to the water.

Finally back in her natural element

In fact, we even brought it back over to St. Johns Yacht Harbor and backed into a slip on the middle of C dock for a few days stay while we do final provisioning.  We had 15mph winds from the south,  a tidal current running pretty good as we were still almost 2 hours to slack tide, and only a few feet clearance  between  the dock on one side and another boat on the other.. Given all that  - we still managed to back it in without much issue.   Even the dockhand said we looked like pro's!!  While it was at Ross's I had Tidal Electronics come and install the radar dome and omnidirectional TV antenna.   The radar arch on the boat is  a weird construction.  Very solid , but  difficult to snake any cables.   I had installed a Garmon 942xs unit at the lower helm but knew the radome was going to cause me too much problem.  Glad I called them in as they fought getting the cables pulled for several hours.  Once that was done connections to the upper helms Garmin 7215 unit were easy and with the cables I had previously run  from the lower helm to the upper I now have chartplotting and radar capabilities at both stations.
Radar and TV antenna mounted.
